"Treasure trove"

I have used this store a number of times for DIY items, some of which I had been unable to find at bigger national outlets. Sim Mayou has never disappointed. The owner at the tiny shop front listens carefully, then disappears up the stairs, then comes back with exactly the right item. He’s never too busy to provide useful advice and a bit of friendly chatter. Why would anyone shop at the impersonal national giant outlets rather than the friendly, helpful local business?.
